For more than 50 years, United Way has focused on solving problems and strengthening the Larimer County community. That will never change.
What has changed is how we solve those problems. Today, we work more strategically than ever before to focus much more deeply on issues related to poverty and the addressing the root causes of poverty in Larimer County.
Everyday, we strive to answer this question: How can we have maximum impact on reducing poverty and improving the lives of people in our community?
We know this important work cannot be accomplished by United Way alone. That’s why we bring together people and organizations with the passion and resources to make change happen. Our partners include nonprofit human service agencies, schools, community leaders, businesses, volunteer groups, the faith community, government entities, foundations, and individual donors, advocates and volunteers – all committed to working together in new and innovative ways to change conditions and improve lives.
It’s called collective impact, a model of collaboration goes beyond short-term solutions to focus on the big picture and drive long-lasting community change. Collective impact enables us and our partners to leverage resources, reinforce activities, reduce duplication, and sharpen strategies to produce results that work better for everyone involved, especially kids and families in need.
