In response to this need, WomenGive was started in Larimer County in 2006 by a group of passionate and caring women who wanted to create an opportunity for women in our community to come together to help other women. Today, WomenGive is comprised of a dynamic network of more than 350 members who use their financial resources to help women in Larimer County achieve economic self-sufficiency.
WomenGive also partners with The Women’s Foundation of Colorado to address public policy issues related to women and self-sufficiency at the state level.
WomenGive Members are the driving force of the program. Through the support of its members, WomenGive has served nearly 200 participants and more than 250 children. But there are still many women in need. For just $500 a year – about the cost of two lattes per week – we can help even more women in Larimer County receive the support and financial assistance they need to build a better future for their families.
Members are invited to several social and educational events throughout the year, and also have the opportunity to serve on one of WomenGive’s volunteer committees, including Membership, Connections, and Scholarship Review.
WomenGive Business Members are organizations committed to building strong communities. Their support allows us to strengthen the lives of many more women and their children in our community. For $1,000 per year, WomenGive Business Members receive a membership for one business member, a listing in the WomenGive Business Member Directory and more. As a part of its efforts to help working families thrive, United Way of Larimer County’s WomenGive program makes an impact by providing childcare scholarships to single parents continuing their education.
Education is an integral component of self-sufficiency. WomenGive is uniquely qualified to address many of the needs in the community by providing support to two generations. Through this program, single mothers (or female permanent custodial parents) are given the opportunity to work toward their GED, certificate or other degree program, while their children are enrolled in quality early childcare centers that will ensure they enter school ready for success.

WomenGive is not possible without our generous mission sponsors, Donnan Charitable Foundation, Inc., The Group, Inc. Real Estate and University of Colorado Health. Their support provides for annual events that are essential to supporting and growing WomenGive membership, allowing membership dollars to continue to support self-sufficiency for women in our community.
